How about if IV publishes his brief story( off course with his permission), congratulating him on IV behalf, in all national news paper ( with or w.o his name ) Date of entry, profession, long time wait- reasons and all opportunities he may have missed, couldn't buy house, collage-tution probelms etc and all struggles he has his family might have faced. point by point.
Money would come from special campaign. NY TIMES, USA TODAY, Chicago Tribune, Washington Post, Miami Herald etc. News paper industry is struggling so won't cost much to buy a half/quarter page with a title - " An untold story of legal immigration" Or similar kind of eye catching title. Not more than 10-12 lines stating thousands others are waiting in line...
There won't be difficult to get more his kind of cases to run it on regular basis in future.

As per legal definition, H-1B holders have work authorization. I am not sure of the extent of rights of H-1B holders, but people holding unrestricted EAD can definitely sue.

I know before you start blaming me for this thread, as it is of no use, I would like to point out that most of you must be experiencing the same thing. I didn't care much for Visa bulletin until it became current for EB2 two weeks back. As the time progress, I am doing all sorts of things, like checking USCIS case status, and checking everything that can possibly give me some information. I know that it is waste of time, I know it is not good for health, I know that I will get GC when time comes, but still, my mind is tricking me to think about it. I checked all these forums until 2A.M last night. I am not having enough sleep. I am waiting for a opportunity to get rid of my desi employer. I am really getting frustrated (I am not saying that I have been waiting for GC approval desperately). I just want to share my frustration and what I have been going through. I know I am in a better position than most of other people whose priority date is not even current. I wish they never dangled a carrot in front of me. I am not sure if they disappoint me next month, but I am still keeping my hopes. Hopefully, I would get over this and have enough sleep from today.

As long as the employer/employee relationship exists, an H-1B alien is still in status. An H-1B alien may work in full or part-time employment and remain in status. An H-1B alien may also be on vacation, sick/maternity/paternity leave, on strike, or otherwise inactive without affecting his or her status.

Even I am not sure about 30 day rule, but employee should be getting payed on H1B. Also it may only be necessary to prove the legal status since the last entry.

I think some of the people on this forum should be diagnosed for click�O�mania. Basically what it means is developing impatience and restlessness qualities as a result of using computer and mouse over an extended period of time. It makes a patient believe that results should be expected within few minutes after initiating any activity just like the click of a mouse does. Examples are on-line credit card payments, rental payments, electricity, telephone, cell phone, cable bill payments, money transfers to name a few. Over period of time when you the patient gets used to these habits, he tries to extend the same logic to other walks of life. Expect results within few minutes. What the click�O�maniac does not understand is certain things in life requires some amount of time in terms of weeks and patience to complete. Even though he/she knows that USCIS is going to receive about � million applications by Aug 17th and receipting of 485 applications is going to take long time, he/she can not resist pressing F5 button on bank statement URL, USCIS press room URL, immigration voice URL, on line case status URL, email account URL and what not URLs. So, someone is trying to contact CSR every day about the receipt status, verifying if checks are cashed or checking LUD on previously approved certifications on hourly basis, it is not his or her fault. Culprit is this undiagnosed disease. If untreated, he/she may be desperate for the finger print notice date in near future. After the finger print notice date, it may be FP notice acceptance date or LUD on case status.
If treated, he realizes that how deep he went into this GC well and how far is away from life on earth and thanks his stars for not remaining as a frog in a well.
How to treat: Do your karma and do not expect results.

For a consulting company ( unless it is some outsourcing company like Infosys), a company cannot produce the following info for a first time H1B candidate
A letter from the client company sponsoring the project and a copy of the contract between the U.S.-based petitioner and the client company, stating the timing, terms and agreement for your project.
Consulting companies exists for the reason that clients won't make an offer to the candidate unless he is already in US.
Before starting to blame consulting companies, ask yourself a question.
How many of you got a job offer from a US company ( non-consulting) when you were in India ?
Either you came to US through a consulting company or you were a student in US.

No American company hires Foreign Worker from India.
Only way to come to USA 10 years back was small time consulting co or Big companies like infy, tcs (now some pseudo US co like IBM, Accenture has also joined the club) where you need to run away from them sometime without resigning.
Small time consulting must exist to satisfy the staffing needs of US companies. They understand the personal needs of immigrant workers. Most of these companies provide better salary and health insurance than TCS, etc.
Only Morons who fake resume/degrees get abused by them as they bench more than they work

My case was transferred from NSC to CSC, and then to TSC. I guess its because my I-140 was approved by TSC. I got my FP notices from TSC.
